Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the added 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the were Nokia Oyj (HE:), which rose 9.56% or 0.90 points to trade at 10.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:) added 6.28% or 1.74 points to end at 29.43 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:) was up 4.15% or 1.10 points to 27.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konecranes ABP (HE:), which fell 13.54% or 4.08 points to trade at 26.06 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:) declined 3.27% or 1.84 points to end at 54.46 and Fortum Oyj (HE:) was down 3.27% or 0.72 points to 21.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 67 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.56% or 0.90 to 10.31.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 6.41% or 6.69 to $111.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 6.89% or 6.89 to hit $106.82 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 47.36 to trade at $4,561.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 98.68.
