Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the rose 1.12% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:), which rose 10.00% or 0.80 points to trade at 8.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding AS (IS:) added 9.95% or 9.80 points to end at 108.30 and Gulermak Agir Sanayi Insaat ve Taahhut AS (IS:) was up 9.86% or 21.80 points to 243.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:), which fell 9.88% or 0.65 points to trade at 5.93 at the close. Dap Gayrimenkul Gelistirme AS (IS:) declined 5.76% or 0.71 points to end at 11.62 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:) was down 3.52% or 0.10 points to 2.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 340 to 258 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.88% or 0.65 to 5.93. Shares in Gulermak Agir Sanayi Insaat ve Taahhut AS (IS:) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.86% or 21.80 to 243.00.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.87% or 41.47 to $4,818.67 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 5.59% or 5.28 to hit $99.69 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 2.72% or 2.58 to trade at $97.33 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 44.58, while EUR/TRY rose 0.62% to 52.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 98.56.
