Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the lost 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the were Europen Endustri Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi (IS:), which rose 9.93% or 0.45 points to trade at 4.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:) added 5.18% or 10.40 points to end at 211.00 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:) was up 5.08% or 1.06 points to 21.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:), which fell 9.22% or 0.66 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:) declined 6.46% or 0.63 points to end at 9.12 and Pasifik Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:) was down 6.37% or 0.16 points to 2.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 505 to 107 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.22% or 0.66 to 6.50. Shares in Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.08% or 1.06 to 21.92.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.09% or 4.40 to $4,680.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 3.32% or 3.73 to hit $116.14 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.82 to trade at $110.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 44.61, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 51.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 99.71.
